Not all RDP accounts are created equal. Many "Shared RDP" accounts restrict you from installing software or changing system settings. If you need to run your own tools, you need **Admin RDP** (also known as a Windows VPS with Root Access).
Admin RDP gives you full Administrator privileges on the Windows server. It means you are the only user (or the main user) and can install any compatible `.exe` or `.msi` file, change firewall settings, and even restart the server at will.
Shared RDP is cheaper, but you share the OS with 10-50 other people. If one person crashes the server, everyone goes down. Also, your data is less secure. For 2026, we always recommend Admin RDP/VPS for serious work.
